Surface preparation

  1. The surface must be clean, dry and not too cold (no wetter than 20%);
  2. Osmo Protective Oil-Glaze is ready to use – do not tint;
  3. Mix very well with a spatula before use;
  4. Clean old coatings. Old paints and varnishes must be completely removed;
  5. If possible, apply the first coat thinly on all sides before installing the wood;
  6. The final result is influenced by the natural characteristics of the wood;
  7. It is always recommended to do tests and make sure that the result obtained meets expectations;
  8. For additional protection against blue stain, rot or insects, use Osmo Impregnating Agent WR*. Apply one coat to the wood before oiling.

Note: It is recommended to use a dust mask during sanding work. Use biocides with caution. Always read the information.

Instructions for use

  1. Apply thinly and evenly to a clean and dry surface along the wood grain with an Osmo natural bristle brush or Osmo microfiber roller;
  2. Allow to dry for approximately 4-6 hours, ensuring good ventilation;
  3. Once dry, apply a second layer in the same thin layer;
  4. When renovating, one coat on a dry and clean surface is sufficient;
  5. It is advisable to clean tools with Osmo Thinner and Brush Cleaner (aromatic-free) or with white spirit.

Note: The final shade may differ from the one shown due to the different characteristics of the wood.

Drying time

Dries in approximately 4-6 hours (under normal conditions: 23 oC and 50% relative humidity). Lower temperatures and/or higher humidity may significantly extend drying time. Ensure good ventilation throughout the drying period.

Coverage
1 litre covers approximately 26 m2 of planed wood in one coat. The product yield depends greatly on the characteristics of the wood. All information is given for a smooth and planed/sanded surface. Other surface configurations may reduce the coverage.
