Instructions for use

Transparent colored surface (1 layer)

  1. Apply a very thin layer on a clean and dry wooden surface along the grain of the wood (use a brush or microfiber roller);
  2. For a more subtle, darkened effect, apply a thin layer with a lint-free cloth and wipe the surface clean and even within 20 minutes;
  3. Ensure good ventilation;

For intense colors (2 coats)

  1. Apply a thin layer to a clean and dry wooden surface along the wood structure (use a brush or microfiber roller);
  2. Ensure good ventilation.
  3. Apply the second layer also thinly;
  4. It is advisable to clean tools with Osmo Brush Cleaner and thinner (aromatic-free) or with white spirit.

Note: Larger areas can also be covered using a scraper - then polished with a white pad. In mechanically stressed areas, e.g. floors, we recommend a maximum of 1 coat and then a thin coat of Osmo Hardwax-Oil Original; if you have a white floor, the final coat should be with the soft white pigment Osmo Hardwax-Oil 3040 White. In principle, an intensely colored opening (2 coats) is not recommended for floors, as there is a risk of applying too much product.

Drying time

Drying time – approx. 24 hours (under normal weather conditions, 23 °C temp. and 50% relative humidity). Low temperatures and/or higher humidity may extend drying time. Ensure good ventilation. After 2 – 3 weeks, the surface is fully cured.

Coverage

1 litre covers approximately 24 m² in one coat. The coverage of the product depends greatly on the type of wood selected. All information refers to smoothly planed surfaces. Other surfaces may reduce the coverage.
