Decorative wax for wood (transparent shades)

Advantages

• Resistant to dirt, water and abrasion;

Instructions for use

Translucent colored surface (1 layer)

1. Apply a very thin layer to the wood surface (you can use a sponge, oil applicator, Easy Pad, metal spatula, roller, brush or polishing machine, depending on the area you are going to cover);
2. After application, thoroughly wipe excess oil from the surface with a clean cloth or paper towel;
3. Allow the surface to dry for approximately 12 hours, ensuring good ventilation;
4. If you apply a second coat, let it dry for 24 hours;

Intense shade (2nd coat)

1. Apply thinly and evenly in the wood grain pattern with a roller or brush and leave to dry (no need to wipe off excess);
2. Use approximately 30 ml/m². The layer dries in approximately 12 hours;
3. Ensure good ventilation;
4. Corrections can be made within 30 minutes of the start of coating;
5. It is advisable to clean tools with Osmo thinner and brush cleaner (without aromatic compounds) or with white spirit.

Note: For heavily used surfaces, such as floors, stairs, table tops, we recommend applying one additional protective layer of Hardwax-oil Original. If the base color is white, apply the protective layer with Hardwax-tinting agent (3040) or Hardwax-oil Natural effect (3041). Intense shades (i.e. 2 layers of decorative wax for wood) are not recommended for floors, as there is a risk of applying too much product.

Drying time 

Drying time approx. 12 hours (under normal weather conditions, 23 °C temp. and 50 % relative humidity). Low temperatures and/or higher humidity may extend the drying time. Ensure good ventilation. After 2 - 3 weeks, the surface is fully cured and hardened. Oiled surfaces should only be wet cleaned after 3 weeks.

Coverage

1 liter covers approx. 24 m² in one coat. The coverage of the product depends greatly on the type of wood selected and its characteristics. The yield given is calculated for smooth sanded wood.
