Hardwax oil Effect

Advantages

• Resistant to dirt, water and abrasion;
• Simple application – no primer or intermediate sanding;

• The coating is resistant to wine, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk and water according to DIN 68861-1A;

Instructions for use

For dark wood

1. First apply to untreated, sanded wood, approximately 30 ml/m². Use a roller or brush;

For light wood

1. First coat with a dark oil stain or decorative wax. Ensure good ventilation;
2. Once dry, apply Silver or Gold Effect Oil with a brush or roller. Apply thinly and evenly.
3. Clean tools with Osmo Thinner and Brush Cleaner (aromatic-free) or with white spirit.

Note: When renovating or repainting already oiled surfaces, one coat of oil on a clean and dry surface is usually sufficient. A more pronounced effect is achieved when applying to combed wood surfaces.

Drying time

Drying time – approx. 24 hours (under normal weather conditions, 23 °C temp. and 50 % relative humidity). Low temperatures and/or higher humidity may extend the drying time. Ensure good ventilation. After 2 – 3 weeks, the surface is fully hardened. Clean oiled surfaces with a damp cloth only after 3 weeks. Lay the tiles after 2 weeks.

Coverage

1 liter covers approximately 30 m² with one coat. The coverage of the product depends greatly on the type of wood selected and its characteristics. The yield given is calculated for smooth sanded wood.
